|Welcome to my homepage.
I am an experienced commercial barrister and member of the Victorian Bar.
I practice in all areas of commercial law, with a particular interest and expertise in trade practices and competition law, corporations and securities law, property law, contract and equity and trusts.
My recent matters include:
- appearing as Junior Counsel at trial in the Supreme Court in an easement dispute between the RSPCA and its neighbour
- appearing as Counsel at trial in the County Court in a dispute concerning unpaid real estate commission (currently on appeal)
- appearing as Junior Counsel at trial in the Supreme Court in a large class action proceeding brought by Timbercorp growers against Timbercorp and its directors (currently on appeal)
- appearing as Junior Counsel at trial in the Supreme Court in a civil penalty proceeding brought ASIC against a former AWB officer.
I am currently briefed in a Supreme Court proceeding concerning a large and complex trusts dispute between members of a Chinese-Malaysian family.
At undergraduate level, I completed a combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree at Monash University in 1999. Between 2001 and 2003, I obtained a Master of Laws at Melbourne University achieving Second Class Honours results.
Before coming to the Bar, I worked as a commercial lawyer and litigator at leading law firms Corrs Chambers Westgarth (where I completed my Articles) and Slater & Gordon.
Aside from my practice as a barrister, from time to time, I contribute commercial law articles to Law Journals. I have also been on the board of Springvale Monash Legal Service and was recently a member of the Victorian Bar Council.
